CIRP is the world leading organization in production engineering research and is at the forefront of design, optimization, control and management of processes, machines and systems. The next 28th CIRP Design conference will be held in Nantes at La Cité Nantes Event Center from 23 to 25 May 2018.
It is organised by Centrale Nantes & the LS2N laboratory and chaired by Prof. Alain Bernard and Dr. Florent Laroche.The goal is to share and compare scientific and industrial points of view and highlight the link between process and organizations within smart enterprises. Topics will focus on scientific approaches, technical issues for methods and tools with respect to new social, environmental and economical impacts, and human awareness in modern organizations. The CIRP Design Conference will welcome 100 international researchers for scientific presentations across numerous sessions. Three researchers have been invited to give keynote lectures: Prof. Eric Lutters (Netherlands), Prof. Daniel Brissaud (Grenoble), Dr Kate Thompson (USA). Prof. Christopher A. Brown (USA) will give a tutorial on Axiomatic Design; a doctoral workshop will be held post-conference to promote high-level scientific exchanges between junior and senior researchers.
